TGX Medical Systems named 2005 Indiana Entrepreneurial Awards of Distinction Winner

(Carmel) - The Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, within the Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business, recognized Indiana’s companies for their entrepreneurial achievements at a dinner and awards banquet Thursday (October 20) at the Indiana Roof Ballroom in Indianapolis.

TGX Medical Systems, of Carmel, was among the 62 finalists in three categories – spirit, innovation and growth. TGX Medical Systems was named a winner in the Innovation category.

TGX Medical Systems was founded in 2000 and currently in the process of expanding it’s presence in the greater Indianapolis community. Michael Good, Chairman & CEO, states that he is proud to receive an Indiana Entrepreneurial Awards of Distinction Company. “Besides the personal satisfaction, it further supports that our recent growth and projected growth both in employees and product offerings will continue to impact the greater Indianapolis workforce and business community.”

In its inaugural year, the Indiana Entrepreneurial Awards of Distinction honors entrepreneurial companies for their growth, innovation, and willingness to take calculated risks.

TGX Medical Systems was a finalist in the Innovation category. To be eligible for the award, the company had to pioneer new systems, bring new products to the market and/or create and develop “best practices” for the industry. “TGX Medical Systems has strived to continually offer robust, reliable solutions for our clients while setting the pace for surpassing the technological demands of our industry”, stated Michael Good. The objective of Alex is to provide a baseline for infection control, track an instrument’s usage throughout its lifecycle, and report on employee productivity in a healthcare facility.

“These entrepreneurial companies have a strong impact on the state, not only economically but also through employment and community development”, stated Donald F. Kuratko, executive director of the Johnson Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation.
